Community Sign Request Rules

  1. Reservations are made by submitting a community sign request form. Only a completed form will reserve the sign. The form can be submitted on the Chamber website or it can be mailed to or dropped off at the Chamber office. All proposals for use of the sign should be submitted as soon as possible, no later than 1 week prior to use of the sign.
  2. Members belonging to the Harvard Chamber will receive free usages of the Community Sign. Free usage limit is based on tier of membership. Executive’s Club members receive 12 free uses, Director’s Club members receive 6 free uses, Partner’s Club members receive 4 uses, Associate’s Club members and Not-for-Profit members receive 2 uses. Usage is per membership term and unused sign uses will not be accrued. Additional use of sign beyond free uses must be approved by Executive Director and will require a $30.00 fee. Businesses not belonging to the Harvard Chamber will not be able to use the sign for any reason.
  3. The sign runs for 7 consecutive days unless otherwise authorized by the chamber office.
  4. If you need to change your message, please contact the Chamber office and we will attempt to make changes.
  5. To allow all members a chance to use the community sign, we are limiting requests to a maximum of 12 requests per year unless otherwise authorized by the chamber office.
  6. Reservations can be made no more than one year in advance.
  7. The Community Sign can only be used for special functions (community events) that are open to the public. It cannot be used for advertisements, sales on products, etc.
  8. The Harvard Chamber of Commerce & Industry, City of Harvard, and Harvard School District #50 have priority use of the sign.
  9. If the City needs to override any message because of weather threats, Amber Alert, or community disaster, they duly have the right to do so.
  10. No sponsors for the sign. This means no one can use a member’s name or company to post their personal message.
  11. Displayed in English only or must be approved by the City of Harvard.

Rules subject to change without notice.
